​​Dubai Sports Council​
Foundation​:

Dubai Sports Council referred to hereinafter as DSC was founded in Nov. 30th 2005 as per a decree issued by UAE Vice- President, Prime Minister, Dubai Ruler H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Introduction:

Dubai Sports Council has managed to realize multiple accomplishments in all fields of sports and launch various initiatives and programs in line with its vision of "building a distinguished, happy sports community and creating an inclusive, modern and sustainable sports environment. It has always followed the steps of the wise leadership of making sports a lifestyle due to its being a source of pleasure and positive energy.

The directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council define the guidelines for management and development of the sports sector in the Emirate of Dubai.

During the last two strategic planning cycles 2007-2010 and 2011-2016, the Council realized many of its goals in the field of development of work processes, promoting the culture of practicing sports as a lifestyle and achieving sustainable development for the sports sector. The Council keeps going with greater momentum and wider outlooks through its current strategic plan 2017-2021 which is in harmony with the UAE Vision 2021 and Dubai Plan 2021 in sports.

The Council will also continue supporting government and private entities and organizations in order to enhance development of all sectors in the Emirate of Dubai.​

We strive to create a sports environment appropriate for achieving health and pleasure for the society and to empower the sports sector to realize high-ranking sports accomplishments promoting the stature of Dubai at the global level.

​Board of Directors:
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, is the Chairman of Dubai Sports Council and is primarily responsible for implementing the decisions passed by the Board of Directors through the General Secretariat, and supervising the work of the General Secretariat as well as relations between DSC and UAE Football Association, Dubai's sports clubs and football companies, national federations and international organizations.
The Board of Directors consists of thirteen members, and they are:
