​​​​​DSC Seeks Means of Sports Cooperation with Poland

H.E. Mattar Al-Tayer, the Deputy Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, received H.E. Robert Rostek, the Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland, in the presence of H.E. Saeed Hareb, the Secretary General of DSC.

 

The meeting sought means of sports cooperation between DSC & Poland to boost the sports sector in UAE, conduct mutual visits & arrange meetings between UAE & Polish clubs.

 

The meeting was attended by H.E. Naser Aman Al-Rahma, the Assistant Secretary General of DSC / H.E. Moza Al-Marri, the Board Member of DSC / Ms. Sarah Al-Sayegh, Director of Communication & Marketing Dept. in DSC.

 

In the beginning of the meeting, H.E. Mattar Al-Tayer conveyed the compliments of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai & Chairman of DSC, to the Poland's people in general & sports fans in particular.

 

H.E. Mattar Al-Tayer referred to the deep–rooted economic & cultural relations between UAE & Poland; part of which is the daily air trips from Dubai to Warsaw through Emirates Flight & Fly Dubai, adding that both parties have good opportunities to enhance bilateral relations in all fields; among which is the sports scope.   

  

He confirmed that UAE gives special consideration to the sports sector, expressing that people in UAE have become aware of the importance of exercising sport as lifestyle.

 

In this regard, UAE boosts cooperation relations with all countries in the sports field, particularly with countries, which give special focus to the sports sector; one of these countries is Poland, ranked among the distinctive sports States.

 

The meeting coincides UAE's celebrations with the "Year of Zayed", marking 100 years since the birth of the Late Father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the Founder of the UAE. The meeting also corresponds to the Poland's celebrations on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Independence Day.

  

H.E. the Polish Ambassador dealt with the hard efforts, exerted by his country to develop the sports sector and reviewed means of cooperation between Poland & UAE in several sports fields, referring to the importance of the exchange of visits, camps & experiences between the two parties.   

 

H.E. the Polish Ambassador invited H.E. Mattar Al-Tayer & DSC's delegation to visit Poland in order to be acquainted with the notable development in sports facilities & the successful organizing of various competitions and to meet with Polish official sportspersons to seek means of cooperation in the sports fields.

 

H.E. Al-Tayer emphasized DSC's keenness to boost bilateral cooperation, looking forward to attain the common promising goals to enhance the sports sector in sports competitions & social sport.

 

It is worth-mentioning that the Emirate of Dubai is scheduled to host the 1st version of the Handball Super Cup next Dec.  between the Champion of Poland vs. Barcelona. The Championship will be arranged in collaboration with Polish Organizer for five years in Dubai and will be added to the International Handball Federation's agenda.
